Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp coarse sugar
  • 2 tsp finely grated lemon zest
  • 1 lemon wedge
  • 2 cups blackberries (approx.)
  • 6 oz gin
  • 2 oz vermouth
  • 2 oz simple syrup
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 oz lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 4 lemon curls


methodology

1. Combine sugar and lemon zest in small shallow dish. Rub rim of 4 lowball glasses with lemon wedge. Dip rims in sugar mixture; set aside.

2. Add blackberries, gin, vermouth, simple syrup, lemon zest, lemon juice and ginger to CRUX 7 Speed Blender. Top with ice cubes.

3. Press LIQUIFY button to begin processing. When finished, the blender will cease operation. Divide among prepared glasses. Garnish each serving with a few blackberries and lemon curl.


Tip:

  • For simple syrup, bring equal parts water and sugar to boil in a small saucepan. Cook until sugar dissolves; let cool completely.
